A beautiful glowing skin is always the most important when it comes to beauty. Why? Because your skin reflects your health, hygiene, and daily habits. You can use makeup to transform your look and even cover up any imperfections on your skin, but without a clean base, even the best makeup can’t do its magic.
I recently came back to Taiwan and is currently staying home for a few months. Although my room was only done last year, I felt that I need to change it up to make it feel more like who I am. I decided that I’m going to repaint my room in July or August and is looking for a color that I will love for years (since I only visit about once a year). Here’s two inspiration boards I put together to give me a few ideas, but of course, being who I am, I might change my mind before the end of this month…
This year is is all about color coordination with a pop of color. I first picked out a gray from Benjamin Moore since I wanted something classic and won’t go out of style (as Taylor Swift may say). But then I wanted something with a bit more feminine tone but still soft, so I picked out a taro-y purple called Orleans Violet from Benjamin Moore. I am really in love with this color, but it will be harder for me to match the furniture I have at home already.
I recently fell in love with baking. Though I can’t say this recipe is low in calories, but it has to be one of the most delicious healthy snack I’ve tasted. I discovered this NO FLOUR cookie recipe one night when my past roommate was baking it. I came up with this recipe after a few tries at home. The texture is chewy and soft and the flavor is really rich and authentic. This recipe will help you get the indulgence you need when school or work is stressing you out. The recipe is also very easy that you don’t need to spend a ton of time in the kitchen.
I’ve already made several new batches that are less sweet for my mom to give them out to her friends. If you like cookies that are less sweet, I have the measurements for that below as well. Also, watch out for the surprise Ferrero Rocher twist in the end!
No time no see, hope you like the change.
Renewed: The perfect word for this post. Not only that I am restarting this blog with a new outlook, but I also found a new meaning in the word: renewed.
Renewed is waking up everyday and being present, not thinking about what happened yesterday or what will happen tomorrow. You remain confident that you can make today different even if you went to bed crying last night. You are willing to give today another try even if yesterday said you are hopeless. By thinking this way, I find that everyday has endless possibilities, even if the day end up being less than what I expected, I know I have tomorrow to restart. More importantly, when the days are good, it is meaningful and I know I have made progress.
When I used to get upset or anxious, it would follow me to the next day. I would used to always wake up to the feeling of no matter what I do today, it won’t mean anything in the end. I kept trying to fight it with all the possible ways I could think of, but would always fall back into the old pattern as long as I kept the thought of failure from yesterday. I never realized why it was so important to live in the present.
If you are the same, join me and start being renewed. wake up in the morning not thinking about yesterday, but only what you will accomplish today. You will look at yourself, and know you are great, and you have so much potential to do things you can’t even imagine.
Now go werq(work) it (;
